Plain lazy to update my blog.
- Outdated updates on taipei trip -
Went tw in nov and used up the free ticket for this year. Nothing special though cos it was the 3rd time I went there.First was in 2004, 2nd time was 2007 and this year was the 3rd time. Taiwan = Shopping. But, nah didn't buy much things at all lor. So much for thinking that there would be summer sale. Instead, all I saw were autumn and winter clothings and of cos boots and more boots. Had the urge to buy a pair of boots but decided to skip that idea cos s'pore is horribly humid and I bet the boots will 发霉 even before I wear them. Some random photos from the trip.

Extra updates~~
Xuan passed her driving test today!! Which means I will have a driving kaki. LoL. Sian lor, my brother doesn't allow me to drive. And not even drive out of the carpark. He insists that I will bang the wall or scratch the car while turning out. According to him, our multi-storey carpark design sux. It's different from the tampines multi-storey carpark which my instructor brought me there before. Anyway, shall bug him to let me drive another day.

zZzZ..another test this week again. It's the second test for my friday's module. So fast lah. And there will be another test after Xmas - my wednesday's module test. 2.5 mths left before completing this year's modules. SUPER FAST. And I feel like I didn't learn anything. Die ar.

I passed my driving test!!!

Omg, so unbelievable that I actually pass my driving test yesterday on first attempt. I know my own driving skills, abit sucky and unstable. LoL. So was really happy when the tester told me, ok, i pass you then he ticked the "Passed" box. Before that, during the 1-to-1 session, he was telling me my mistakes..this and that..blah blah blah. I wasn't really listening though. Haha.


Was really glad I didn't make any mistakes in the circuit cos circuit was actually my main concern. I even strike kurb (crank course) during the warm-up and my instructor was like haiyo 10 points. Actually the warm-up session before the test wasn't very smooth at all. And even for the slope, normally I don't have any problem with that, and it was supposed to be the easiest I would say, in the circuit. The button for the handbrake got stuck and I actually wanted to step the accelerator and zoom off. Think I was too kan jiong liao, have not even press the button properly and I wanted to step on the accelerator and go off. Besides the circuit, the traffic outside wasn't favourable too during warm-up. Really had difficulty trying to change lanes cos all the vehicles don't seem to bother and let me pass through. For most of the lane changing, the instuctor had to hint to me, okok can change le, the car/motor is waiting for you. Like how to gauge ar. I always see the vehicles zooming behind when I look at the rear/side mirror, can't gauge at all.

Warm-up session is so damn important. My warm-up session was till 3.30pm and I started the test at around 3.55pm or so. So it's like straight after warm-up, rest for 25 mins and continue driving again. Felt very seasoned liao, so not that nervous during the test. Stay calm (very important). I just imagine is the instructor sitting beside me instead of the fierce and glum looking tester. The tone he used when he was talking to me wasn't very friendly at all. Don't even feel like having conversation with him. He even scroll down the window and put his head out of the window to check whether I will strike the kurb throughout the whole circuit test. Later "死得不明不白"..So strict for what, trying to find faults. Thought from rumours that testers are not very alert during the test and as long as you don't do anything to wake him up from his "dreams", you should be fine. Rubbish lor. I think the testers are damn alert. Haha.

But still, everything was rather smooth during the circuit test which was quite amazing. At least he didn't find any faults in the circuit for him to deduct my points. Boo. Out of the circuit, I got route 4. I would say this route is so-so or considered quite easy compared to some other routes which I think i am quite weak in. The main thing about this route is that, there are so many right turns. mainly are right turns and alot of lane changing. Lane changing is considered my weak point too, but heng ar, managed to change quite fast. I can still recall there was 1 van driver who was so nice to me, waiting for me to change lane which I took quite some time though. Cos I was thinking, the van can hurry up and go ma, then i can change after he zoom pass me. But apparently, he didn't. I double check quite a few times and realise he was actually waiting for me to change. Rare nice driver. Haha.

Oh ya and since the tester didn't deduct my marks in circuit, he started finding faults with me outside on the road. Nagging about this and that. Dangerous lah..etc etc.. In the end, got deducted 16 points, near to failing liao. 8 points for not enough side clearance and 6 points for fail to slow down when approaching road hazards. I did slow down lor, just that I didn't stop. Haha. Thought the car can actually squeeze through, so I let the car to continue crawl forward until I realise the car can't squeeze through. Nvm. I agree it's my mistake. Somemore I was already driving back to school, wasted points. Ubi road damn horrible. Not easy to drive at all. So many lorries, vans, trucks and all blocking my view. LoL.

Now I miss the days whereby the instructor is beside you and helping to press the brake for you when he thinks it's dangerous. Haha. I feel so unsafe alone in the car.

today is just not my day

As you can see from the title, today is just not my day. Haha. I should have just locked myself at home and not go out. Let's start from the first event for the today - my 21st driving lesson.

It was TERRIBLE. And I meant it. It was probably the worst driving experience today. Everything was so wrong. From changing lanes, driving on straight road, turning, braking..etc. I could say nothing was perfect. Wth happened to me lah. The worst thing was that I couldn't believe I actually step on the accelerator thinking it was brake. Scared the hell out of me. I really thought the car was going to bang into the van in front of our car. I nearly got freaked out. Damn scary.This must be the scariest experience I had after so many lessons of driving. And since I thought i was stepping on brake, obviously the strength I used to step on accelerator wasn't light at all.  Nightmare. Hopefully this nightmare just end today. I only have like 3 more lessons before the test, of course I don't want such silly mistakes to suddenly surface and make me panic and think of it for my next few lessons.

Next event was going for interview at some company near expo there. The place is so difficult to find la, hiding in some ulu corner and I reached there on the dot. And the weather was terribly hot. Haha. Lucky I didn't walk round in circles just to find the company but I did search for quite long. Oh ya, and I had blisters. Wth. Even plasters couldn't help. Then, I went back to tampines to fill up form and sign the contract. Not to mention it was crowded but everything should be quite ok except for the painful blisters.

Ok, I am lazy to finish typing the entry. Anyway my last and final task of the day was tutoring. I had very bad flu and was sneezing for the whole 1.5h and my nose became a dripping tap. Apparently the medicine doesn't work at all. Lousy.

No...........I don't want to be sick now. If not, how am I going to pass my driving. Cos I know if I fall sick, I take days to recover. Argh.

Sian. Nothing much to blog. I shall upload some VERY old photos of cats in my hp. Ok, not some but two. I used my brother's lappie to bluetooth the photo into his laptop. My stupid lappie has no bluetooth. I mean there is a bluetooth signal or what on the laptop itself but I still must go purchase the bluetooth card and insert into the laptop. So dumb lah.

Super random

Woohoo. Finally I am having my own air con in my room after like 14 years living in Pasir Ris. Haha. Then I won't need to squeeze into my brother's room and sleep on pathetic mattress when the weather is freaking hot. All thanks to the dripping aircon and my neighbour living a storey below us started complaining that they couldn't sleep at night. Is it really that loud until they can't sleep at night? Hm anyway, yeah no more room hopping for air-con during warm weather.

Watched the F1 race yesterday. Ok, for only like 1/2h or so. I would say, it is quite boring. All you see are cars speeding around. The only exciting and interesting part was when the racers crash. Haha. Not being mean, but that was the only part that caught my attention. Another damn hilarious part was the ferrari racer car dragging the fuel hose. Why didn't they use the "lollipop" guy which was MUCH more reliable than some light system which they were using. I saw the replay in you-tube and apparently it wasn't Massa's fault cos the light system above did show a green light signalling for him to move off when the fuel hose was still attached to the car. That was a HUGE blunder. I bet other racers must be shocked when they saw the Ferrari car dragging a hose behind.

Not only that, their crew were damn slow lah. Why didn't someone actually sprint and go after the Farrari. They were like shocked for 2 seconds then continue with the second car. Poor Massa. It wasn't his fault. LoL. Some lousy light system they have. Time to use back the traditional "lollipop" man.

School was ok..erm not really. I had 1 scary lecturer. Scary in the sense that he is very interactive in class. And he wants us to interact with him every single minute. Ya you got it right, an ang moh lecturer. Damn stressful lor. 好死不死..the class size not very big ar. And I can count how many ladies are there. Not more than 15. Why did I say this cos as u know lah, ladies are not that interactive in class. Then, when no one answers his question, he will ask ladies to give input. Bleh. But our class guys aren't interactive either. Haha.

You can easily hear a pin drop when he is asking questions cos hardly anyone wants to answer.  Not only that, he wants us to do an assignment every week and present in the LT. WTH. We though presentation would be ok. But it wasn't ok at all after going for the second lecture. It was really scary. As usual, 1 group will present and the rest of us are suppose to give critiques about their presentation. Whether they have answered the ques or not, whether their points are right etc. Wah, I feel like I'm studying in some ang moh country whereby students are supposed to be SUPER interactive and able to criticize ppl's work. Guess that's the difference Asian students and European students.

zZz..Haix. Can't believe I have to endure another 21 more lessons.
